Fleece rugs do three jobs: they wick sweat away from a horse after work, they keep a horse warm while travelling, and they look smart enough for the collecting ring.

A cooler is the rug you reach for after schooling, after a bath, or on the lorry — breathable fleece draws moisture out of the coat so the horse dries off without getting cold. Our navy fleece show rug does the same job while being tidy enough to use at a show.

Fleece is not waterproof and is not intended for turnout. Use it under a turnout rug or in the stable and lorry.
