A detachable neck cover turns a standard turnout rug into a combo, adding warmth over the neck and crest without committing to a heavier rug. It attaches to the D-rings on the rug and can be taken off when the weather turns.

Our neck covers are made from the same waterproof, breathable 600D ripstop as our turnout rugs, attach via D-rings and fit rugs from 5'0 upwards. Fill weights available: 0g for rain protection without added warmth, 50g and 100g for transitional seasons, and 200g for winter.

Buying a neck cover separately is usually the cheaper route to a combo rug, and it gives you the flexibility to remove it on milder days rather than swapping the whole rug.
